Meet our Energy Team

Teresa wears two hats at our Energy facility. As our director of nursing, she oversees the care of all our residents and guests. She also manages the day-to-day operations of our active recovery center.

Teresa has been practicing since 1994, and has a wide range of nursing experience, including pediatrics, wound care and nurse management, as well as long-term care. She also enjoys teaching and is both a CPR and CNA (certified nursing assistant) instructor.

“I enjoy watching our staff help each individual achieve his or her highest level of functioning,” Teresa says. “I also enjoy the personal connections we make each day with our guests and their families. Making a difference in someone’s life is what is truly important to me.”

When she’s not hard at work, Teresa enjoys photography and spending time with her family.

“I have an amazing husband of 26 years, two handsome sons and two beautiful granddaughters,” she says.

Teresa also admits to being a bit of a primper. I love ‘bling,’” she says with a laugh. “And I don’t go anywhere without my makeup on.”

Hardworking and energetic, Jackie spends much of her time spreading the word about all the wonderful things our Energy facility has to offer. She has more than 13 years of experience in long-term care, and formerly served as the social services director at our Benton location.

Jackie enjoys interacting with our residents and guests and making them feel at home at Energy. “I love to see people become healthy enough to return home and resume their lives,” she says.

When she’s not racing around our building, Jackie spends her time sewing, painting and reading. She is the official seamstress for Helia Healthcare, and her beautiful window treatments and other handiwork are on display at several of our locations.

Elizabeth helps our residents and their families adjust from a home or hospital setting to a short-term rehab or long-term care environment. She has more than eight years of long-term care social services experience, and she has also worked with the developmentally disabled and served as a personal caregiver. Elizabeth joined our team in 2012.

At Helia Healthcare of Energy / ARCH, Elizabeth finds her work highly gratifying. “My job gives me the opportunity to help our short-term guests and their family members move from rehab to home,” she says. “And I also ensure that our residents on the long-term care side lead the best lives possible.

“They know we care deeply about them.”

Elizabeth has a myriad of interests outside of work. She enjoys hunting, fishing, motorcycling, Cubs baseball, and football — her son plays for the Johnston City, Ill., Indians. She also makes “a mean meatloaf.”

“But most of all, my three kids and my new grandbaby are the highlights of my life!”
